PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SITE, ANY MATERIAL, OR ATTENDING ANY LEAGUE ACTIVITY, EVENT, or COMPETITION. The following applies to you, your children, parents, guardians, and guests viewing or attending any league match, class, seminar, special event, camp, or activity (free or paid) that is arranged or provided by the IMPACT Martial Arts League or its associated partners or vendors. The Organization has zero tolerance for non-compliance towards any of the rules, regulations, terms and conditions.

Section A: General Information
Definitions.
1. “Member” includes you, any minor for whom you are signing and/or accepting products/services on behalf of, your invited guests, and any of your personal representatives, heirs, executors, spouse, administrators, agents, assigns, or other successors.
2. “Membership Agreement” includes any Waivers, Releases, Agreements, and the IMPACT Martial Arts League Terms & Conditions.
3. “Organization” includes IMPACT Martial Arts League, the board of directors, organizers, developers, staff, volunteers, any/all instructors (guest or permanent), referees/judges, employees, any/all subsidiaries listed or omitted, and any joint ventures.
4. “Event” includes all IMPACT Martial Arts League meetings, visits, tournaments, matches, playoffs, or scrimmages.
5. “Material” includes all IMPACT Martial Arts League, events, classes, private lessons, products, sites, conversations, books, comments, social media, and material the Organization creates or provides.
6. “Team” includes the school team(s), participants, parents/guardians of participants, coaches (head and assistant) that are created specifically or brought together to participate in the IMPACT Martial Arts League.
Applicability. The IMPACT Martial League Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release, apply to your attendance at any Organization event, league, class, seminar, special event, camp, or activity (free or paid) that is arranged or provided by the Organization, its associated partners, or vendors.
Section B: Conditions
Lost, Damaged or Stolen Property. The Organization assumes no responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen property at any event.
Access. The Organization has the sole discretion to determine the requirements of any league, event, activity, type of class, or instruction a Member or Team is permitted to attend, which may be based on, but not limited to, characteristics of age, gender, skill, rank, weight, and maturity level.
Holidays and Closures. The Organization may close for national holidays, special events, maintenance, and other purposes without affecting Member’s payment obligations (if any).
Vacation. Member & Team is responsible for the payments regardless of attendance or non-attendance.
Safety Rules and Regulations. For safety purposes, Member & Team agrees to abide by the safety rules and regulations of the Organization, which are incorporated herein by reference (Impact-az.org/rules), as posted in the venue and/or as verbally told to me.
Responsibility. The organization is not responsible for any actions of any individual (coaches, teams, parents, participants) as it relates to any other participant, parent, or coach at any league event, practice, or social gathering. The safety of the participants will always rest solely with the parents/guardians and the participant. The Teams and sponsoring school are responsible for choosing their coaches.
Team. All members of a Team (including alternates, coaches, and sponsoring school) must be identified prior to the first Organization event of the season.
Injury or Illness. If a Member sustains an injury and/or illness the Organization rules will govern who (if any) and when (if possible) can take their place on their Team.
Changes. The Organization may make any modification in the rules, structure, schedule, judging, refereeing, schedule, equipment, or facility as deemed necessary and without notice. Such modification does not relieve the member of their payment obligations under any circumstances.
Notice. It is your responsibility to notify the Organization of any change in your address, phone number, billing information, or for any matter related to your Membership Agreement. Notices required in writing may be sent by US Mail or by email to:

If you provide notice by email, you must receive a confirmatory responsive email from the Organization for notice to be deemed to have been provided to the Organization.
For security reasons, the Organization does not advise that you update your billing information by email. You are advised to make such updates by mail, phone, or in person.
Email Authorization. The Organization is authorized to use your email address for notices, billing, and for informational purposes.
Equipment and Other Fees. Member agrees to promptly pay for any additional fees required by the Organization, including but not limited to, fees for required equipment. Member is not required to purchase equipment from the Organization but to obtain equipment that meets the Organization’s safety, use, and style requirements.
Refunds. The Organization is not required to provide a refund for any missed match, competition, products, services, or fees, and any such refunds will be at the sole discretion of the Organization. The Team will be solely responsible if they refuse to refund the Member’s fees. The Organization is not responsible nor holds any fees for the Team.
Charges & Taxes. The Organization reserves the right to add any tax imposed by the government and any Organization fees.
Forum; Costs and Expenses. Member agrees to pay all costs and expenses incurred by the Organization to collect payments, including but not limited to, attorney fees ($300 per hour), process server fees, and filing fees initiated as a result of any default.
Legal Action. Any legal action to enforce the Membership Agreement shall be brought in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Amendments. Any changes to the terms and conditions will be deemed accepted & enforceable by the member and/or responsible party on the date the member and/or responsible party pays their next membership dues, use the material, website, views, attends, or participates in ANY Organization event.
Entire Agreement & Enforcement. Member acknowledges that the Organization has not made any representations or promises upon which Member relied that are not stated in the Membership Agreement. The Membership Agreement replaces any previous oral or written agreement the Member may have had with the Organization. Misspellings or honest mistakes do not constitute invalidation in whole or part of the Agreement. If a court declares any part of the Agreement invalid, it will not invalidate the remaining parts, which continue unaffected. If the Organization does not enforce its rights under the Membership Agreement, the Organization does not waive its right to enforce it later.
Digital Acceptance. The Agreement and all digital or scanned copies hereof will be deemed valid and authentic.
Electronic Signatures. Using a facsimile, e-mail, or another electronic medium shall have the same force and effect as an original signature.
Agreement Survivability. The AFMAA Terms and Conditions, AFMAA Waiver and Release, and the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to coronavirus/COVID-19 as agreed under this agreement will survive the termination of this agreement. In other words, any future AFMAA onsite/offsite events, gatherings, classes, memberships, trials, or get-togethers will still be protected and enforceable by said agreements until replaced or canceled.
Cancellation. The Membership Agreement may be canceled for any reason without penalty or further obligation within three (3) days from the date of first entering into this Membership Agreement by providing written notice to the Organization by US mail or email in accordance with the terms of the Membership Agreement. This 3-day right of cancellation does not apply to subsequent automatic renewal terms.
Removal. The Organization shall have the sole discretion to terminate or suspend any participant from participation in the Organization events or competitions.
Termination. A Member may leave the Team at any time, and the Team may leave the league at any time. It will be up to the Organization rules if a replacement individual (Alternate) can be used on the Team. A Team leaving the league will not be replaced.
Corrections. The Membership Agreement can be corrected by the Organization at their discretion and without my permission (up to and including terminating without refund), if I have misused, accidentally, or purposely, any discount, price, type of membership, and/or provided false or incomplete information that would alter my membership or price.
Section C: Code of Conduct for Officials, Coaches, Parents, and Participants.
It is expected and required that all Officials, Participants, Coaches, Parents/Guardians, and Spectators to attend with the expectation of good competition and great sportsmanship. The following Code of Conduct is expected and will be enforced by all parties that attend the Organizer’s event:
- Will maintain high moral and ethical standards that include self-control and responsible behavior.
- Must display courtesy, compassion, and good manners and consider the physical and emotional well-being of others
- Will not swear, use abusive language, or display disruptive behavior, including behavior that is dangerous to self or others, including acts of violence, harassment, and physical or sexual abuse.
- Will respect the League officials, judges, coaches, and event staff and their authority during the events.
- The coach will be the sole decision-maker in all aspects of the team in any event. He/she will be the only person making the lineups, changing the lineup, and determining all event management facets. The parents will no have to have a say in how the event is managed or who is participating.
- No parent will be allowed on the mat during any event unless they are fulfilling an event role.
- At NO point are parents allowed to approach coaches, other teams, or league officials in an aggressive way for any circumstances.
- Cheering for your team is encouraged. No one shouts at you in front of other people when you make a mistake, so please don’t yell at them if they do. Booing and degrading comments to any team or official is not allowed. Compassion for all leads the way.
- Judges and Referees are human and make mistakes, just like players, coaches, and you. Please be kind. We do not have video replay, so, we will go with their calls.
- The only reason why we our children to be in the league is because it is fun. Please don’t let the behavior of the adults ruin their fun.
Section D: Waiver and Release
This Waiver and Release applies to you and your participant (known as “you” and/or “participant”) attending any training session, match, event, playoff, or activity (free or paid) (known as “events”) that is arranged or provided by Impact-az.org, the IMPACT Martial Arts League, its associated partners, vendors or users of the facilities (known as “Organizer”.)
1. Terms and Conditions: I have agreed to abide by all terms and conditions that are listed on Impact-az.org/terms-and-conditions/
2. Photography and Likeness Release. As a condition of engaging in any activity arranged or provided by the Organizer, You hereby grant the Organizer and any Organizer-authorized media, Production Company, or promoter(s) the permission to utilize the participant’s appearance, name, voice, and likeness in connection with training and publicity for the Organizer and in connection with the promotion of any manner and media throughout the world in perpetuity. You hereby waive any right that you or the participant may have to inspect or approve any finished product or any advertising copy that may be used in connection therewith or the use to which it is applied. You hereby warrant that you have the right to make this release and that granting this release and the rights conveyed thereby will not infringe the rights of any third party. You hereby assign all rights, title, and interest in any and all media in which any or all of your appearance, name, voice, or likeness have been captured in connection with the above to distributors, along with full rights of assignability.
3. Assumption of Risk of Injury. You understand that martial arts events have an inherent risk of accidental physical injury, up to and including death, and you agree to assume the risk of such injury. This includes, without limitation, participation in any tournament, event, match, playoff, activity, lesson, class, program, personal training, or other instruction. You agree that the participant is voluntarily participating in these activities and assuming all risk of injury or contraction of any illness or medical condition that may result.
4. Ability to Participate; Physical Contact; Risk of Injuries; Safety.
a. Ability to Participate. You understand that the Organizer recommends that the participant consult with a physician before beginning any of the Organizer’s activities. You represent that the participant is in good physical condition, is not suffering from any heart, lung, or other bodily ailment, and is in all respects physically fit to engage in the Organizer’s events.
b. Physical Contact. Physical contact will be used by employees, other participants, and authorized individuals, as part of the course of the Organizer’s events. You have been advised of such fact and give full consent to any physical contact that may be required or customary to martial arts training and competitions.
c. Risk of Injuries. By participating in any of the Events, You accept the risk of related injuries that might occur to the participant. You acknowledge that the organizers have no expertise in diagnosing, examining, or treating any medical condition.
d. Safety. You agree that the participant does not pose a risk of transmission of any communicable severe disease to other participants with whom the participant will be training or competing with or against and that if any such risk becomes known to You, you will promptly notify the Organizers of any such condition. You agree not to use any of the organizer’s facilities with any medical condition, including open cuts, abrasions, sores, infections, maladies, or inability to maintain personal hygiene if such conditions pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others. You agree that the participant will use the Organizer’s facilities in accordance with all applicable public health requirements.
5. Protective Gear and Equipment. You have been advised that strict observance of the rules and regulations relative to the Organizer’s martial arts events is mandated and includes the use of protective equipment and clothing generally accepted by the martial arts and fitness industry. This equipment and clothing may help to minimize the possibility of accident or injury. The organizers do not warrant the adequacy or suitability of the protective equipment, regardless of whether any clothing or protective equipment was purchased from the Organizers. You understand that the practice of martial arts involves physical contact and potential bodily injury, even with the use of protective equipment. All safety equipment and clothing must be clean, properly maintained, or replaced if torn or inadequately functional. The Organizers do not warrant that protective equipment will eliminate the possibility of accident, injury, or death, but will reduce the risk of accident, injury, or death. Equipment: Male: Groin Cup and Supporter are required. Female: Crotch/Ovary protectors and Breast guards/adequate chest protectors are highly suggested All Participants: Appropriately fitting mouthguards, headgear, hand pads, and foot pads are required for any events requiring contact between participants. Optional: Chest Protectors, Shin guards, Forearm guards.
6. Waiver and Release of Liability. In consideration of being permitted to participate in any of the Organizer’s events, you acknowledge that on your behalf and on behalf of the participant, you have read this waiver and release and fully understand that it is a release of liability. You hereby waive any right that the participant may have, by or on behalf of yourself, your spouse, or any child (minor or otherwise), to bring a legal action or assert a claim for injury or loss of any kind against the Organizers (and its owners, principals, instructors, agents, directors, officers, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, affiliates, representatives, successors, and assigns) for negligence or arising out of or relating to participation by yourself, your spouse or child in any of the activities, or use of the equipment, facilities, or services provided, or on account of any health pandemic (i.e. Covid-19), illness, or accident, or damage to or loss of your personal property. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to the participant or myself, including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, death, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that we may experience or incur in any connection with the participation with or at the Organizer’s Event.
7. Interest. You, your representatives, assign, heirs, successors in interest, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Organizers, its owners, principals, instructors, agents, directors, officers, promoters, sponsors, or advertisers, all for the purposes herein referred to, from all liability to you, your representatives, assigns, heirs, successors in interest, and next of kin, for all loss or damage whatsoever, and any claim or damage therefore, on account of injury to your person or property or resulting in your death, whether caused by negligence or any other acts of the association.
8. Rights Reserved. The Organizer reserves the right to suspend or revoke any participation in any event or match, without refund, if You or your guests (1) fail to follow any of the Organizer’s rules and regulations, (2) create a nuisance or disturbance for other participants, (3) engage in acts of moral turpitude or fraud, or (4) engage in fighting, assault or other acts of physical violence, or violations of the law regardless of the location of such acts. The Organizer shall have the sole discretion to terminate or suspend any participant from participation in any of the Organizer’s events for these reasons. You agree that the Organizer has the final decision in all matters as it relates to their events.
